School Impact Coordinator

The Ukrainian Welcome Center is looking for a School Impact Coordinator to lead the school impact initiative for Ukrainians that have arrived in the USA as a result of the war. The School Impact Coordinator will oversee the after school program, a four week summer camp and coordinate a camping trip for July. Additionally, throughout the summer, the coordinator will provide parent education as their children get ready to go back to school. The hours for this position are flexible- the coordinator will be required to attend the scheduled events, a weekly staff meeting, but otherwise will have flexibility in their working hours.

Position Type: Temporary, this position will run through August 31st, 2024

Hours: Part-Full time, depending on time over year.

Pay: $27.00 to $35.00/hour (DOE)

Responsibilities:

·         Hire school impact staff including instructors and camp counselors

·         The coordinator will work with camp instructors to select and implement curriculum for the summer camp including topics related to STEM, Art, Health, and Safety.

·         This individual will oversee program staff, including youth program assistants, camp instructors, and camp counselors.

·         Coordinator will need to coordinate transportation and food services for summer events.

·         Coordinator will collaborate with various community organization to integrated into the school impact program.

·         Throughout the summer the coordinator will host parent engagement events to prepare children for school.

Requirements:

·         Coordinator must have a bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent (Master’s preferred)

·         Coordinator must have school administration and leadership experience

·         Coordinator must have supervision experience

·         Coordinator must be well versed in leading instructional teams to develop high-quality curriculum

Schedule of School Impact Services:

·         Kids Club: Mondays/Tuesdays 6:00-8:15pm

·         Summer Camp: Month of June on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 10:00am-2:00pm

·         Camping Trip: July 6-9th

Communications Manager

The Ukrainian Welcome Center is looking for a Communications Manager to coordinate and manage communications with the community. This individual will be responsible for producing and maintaining social media, flyers, website activity, and oversee external communications with the Community. This individual will report to the Executive Director.

Position Type: Full-time, while funding for UWC is available

Hours: Flexible

Pay: Depends on Experience

Responsibilities

·         Create, edit and translate flyers

·         Manage and update website

·         Monitor Social Media accounts, google reviews

·         Provide outreach for events

·         Manage inquiries in email and social media platforms

·         Manage Volunteers

·         Manage/Coordinate Donations throughout the year and for special events

·         Plan special events at UWC

·         Manage the Bulletin boards throughout the office space

Requirements:

·         Communications manager must have experience creating materials and content in social media, and print

·         Fluent in Ukrainian and Russian preferred

·         Communications manager must be comfortable speaking in public to small and large groups

·         Communications manager must have experience planning events and organizing groups of people to complete tasks

Book Keeper

The Ukrainian Welcome Cener is looking for a Book Keeper. The UWC is located in Nampa, Idaho and is currently serving more than 600 clients. We are looking for an individual to run business operations and manage multiple accounts.

The Book Keeper will be responsible for:

·         Managing payroll

·         Tracking revenue and expenses for multiple accounts

·         Producing financial reports

·         Processing reimbursement payments

·         Monthly invoicing

·         Launching and maintaining financial records using Quickbooks

·         Managing program budgets to stay within limits

·         Monitoring expenditures for allowability

·         Assisting the Associate Director in maintaining accurate Cash Assistance records

·         Ensuring that all expenditures are in compliance with grant rules and regulations and tax laws

·         Assist the Director in maintaining Human Resources records

 

What we are looking for:

·         Associates (or extensive experience) in Accounting, Business, or similar field

·         Excellent knowledge of Quickbooks

·         Ability to set up a Quickbooks new system with multiple accounts

·         Excellent knowledge of processing payroll

·         Ability to monitor revenue and expenses

·         Attention to detail

·         Knowledge and experience using Microsoft products

·         Expert level Excel knowledge

·         Thorough knowledge of payroll and labor laws related to employee benefits, witholdings, etc.

 

Additional Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Summer Camp Teachers

The Ukrainian Welcome Center is looking for three teacher to lead a summer camp in the month of June, and attend a camping trip in July. The Ukrainian Welcome Center serves Ukrainians that have arrived in the USA as a result of the war. The camp will be available for grade school children through 8th grade with the goal of setting students up for success when they return back to school in August. The three positions include a summer lead for early elementary, upper elementary, and middle school. The summer program will be themed each week to include STEM, Arts, and Health & Wellness.

Position Type: Temporary, part to full time

Pay: $25.00 to $30.00/hour (DOE)

Responsibilities:

·         Develop and implement high-quality age-appropriate curriculum for 12-day summer camp

·         Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children served at the camp

 

Requirements:

·         Coordinator must have teaching experience

·         Bachelor’s degree in education or similar

·         Coordinator must have school administration and leadership experience

·         Coordinator must have supervision experience

·         Coordinator must be well versed in leading instructional teams to develop high-quality curriculum

Schedule:

·         Teachers will be asked to attend planning meetings in advance of the summer camp to coordinate services with other staff

·         Summer Camp: 12 days: June 18-20, June 25-27, July 10-11, July 16-18 from 10am-2pm 

·         Camping Trip: July 6-9th

English Teacher


The Ukrainian Welcome Center is looking for an English Teacher to teach adults. Courses run Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm to 8:15 pm. The instructor should have through knowledge and skills in differentiated instruction as the English level of Ukrainian clients may vary.  Scheduled times may shift seasonally.

Position Type: Part-time

Hours: Mondays/Tuesdays 6:00pm to 8:15pm +1 hour/week prep time

Pay: $25.00-$28.00/hr DOE
